Jeanette has been a resident of Manassas Park since 1994, and was elected to Manassas Park Governing Body in 2012. After serving 4 years as a Councilmember, she was elected Mayor in 2016 and re-elected in 2020.
As Mayor she currently represents the City as:
**City representative to the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA)
**Chair of the Finance Committee of the NVTA
**Member of the Planning and Programming Committee of the NVTA
**City representative to the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC)
**City representative to the Transportation Planning Board of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments
**Member of the Board of Directors of the Upper Occoquan Service Authority (UOSA)
**City representative to the Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC)
