Domestic Violence Awareness Month: Recognizing the Signs, Supporting Employees, and Understanding New Workplace Protections

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month—a time to increase awareness, strengthen workplace support systems, and equip employers with the knowledge and resources to help employees facing domestic violence and related forms of abuse.

Join us for an important conversation exploring the impact of domestic violence and human trafficking on the workplace, how to recognize warning signs, and ways employers can foster a safe, supportive, and informed work environment. We'll also discuss Virginia's new paid sick leave requirements for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, which take effect in January 2027, and what employers should know as they prepare for implementation.
