     EGS Security Solutions was born from a simple but powerful idea: communities deserve security professionals who are proactive, not reactive. The founders, having served in the U.S. military, understood that true protection comes from anticipating threats before they materialize.

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA)


      Professor Kwabena Konadu is a Distinguished Associate Professor and the College-wide Program Head of the Cybersecurity A.A.S. degree program at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), where he leads initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity education and workforce development. A dynamic educator and mentor, Professor Konadu is widely recognized for his excellence in teaching, leadership, and service to higher education.

      He has received several prestigious awards honoring his contributions, including the 2025 American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Faculty of the Year Award, a national recognition celebrating his outstanding commitment to student success, innovation, and academic excellence. In 2022, Professor Konadu was also honored with the Outstanding Faculty Award from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), the highest award given to faculty at Virginia’s public and private colleges and universities. This distinction recognizes educators who exemplify the highest standards of teaching, scholarship, and service.
      Through his work at NOVA, Professor Konadu has been instrumental in building strong cybersecurity programs that prepare students for emerging industry demands. His passion for teaching and mentorship continues to inspire a new generation of cybersecurity professionals dedicated to safeguarding the digital world.
