Steven Liga is the CEO of ACTS (Action in Community Through Service) in Prince William County, Virginia. Mr. Liga is a licensed masters-level social worker (LMSW) and substance abuse treatment professional (LSATP), as well as a certified prevention specialist (CPS) and clinical supervisor (CCS) with more than twenty years of experience in the field of social services. This has made him a respected resource for print, radio, and television news media, including ABC’s Nightline and CNN’s Anderson Cooper program. His advocacy work has led him to testify before legislative and regulatory committees on both the state and federal level. As adjunct faculty at Rutgers University, Mr. Liga created an Addiction Prevention Certificate Program at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. He has also presented at the annual conferences of numerous national and state organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Human Services Alliance of Greater Prince William, People, Inc., and the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.
