About Brian Thamm

Brian Thamm is the Co-Founder and Chief Data and AI Officer at Sophinea Corporation. Brian’s role at Sophinea is to help clients use data to increase sales, streamline operations, and achieve organizational outcomes that result in happy clients. Brian brings over 20 years of experience managing diverse projects from Army Test Operations and overseas Base Security to deploying Data Platforms for global State Department programs. He bridges business and technical domains with undergraduate and graduate business degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and Villanova University, and a Masters in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University.

Sophinea was founded in 2018 to apply best-in-class tools and cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) to transform data sitting unused in applications, databases, and spreadsheets into a strategic asset. At Sophinea, we accompany our partners every step of the way, from crafting a robust data strategy to engineering custom software solutions and delivering impactful data and software products. This includes building data platforms for the Department of State and the US Air Force as well as building data literacy programs for the National Institutes of Health, Department of Education, among others.
