Bridging the Digital Divide - Broadband and Computer Access for Everyone

Description

The goal of this meeting is to identify barriers accessing and using broadband services as well as the knowledge and access gaps that may prevent local residents from using computers or other digital devices.  Registration is not required but is appreciated. 

 It will address issues such as:

• Broadband Availability & Affordability
  • Is high-quality broadband available at a price you are willing to pay 
• Online Accessibility & Inclusivity 
  • When you go to (particularly government) websites, are you able to find the information you need and understand it?
• Digital Literacy
  • Do you know enough about using a computer and the internet to take advantage of it?
• Online Privacy & Cybersecurity 
  • Are you able to protect yourself on the internet from identity theft, online predators, and other threats?
• Device Availability & Affordability
  • Can you get access to a computer or afford to buy one yourself?
