Vendor Relations Coordinator

           Markus Crewe is a skilled nonprofit and business leader with extensive experience in vendor relations, community engagement, and organizational management. As the Vendor Relations Coordinator for Prince William County’s Office of Procurement Services, Markus plays a key role in guiding businesses through the vendor registration process and connecting local businesses with government contracting opportunities

         Prior to becoming the County’s first ever vendor relations coordinator, Markus served as the President/CEO of Habitat for Humanity Prince William County, leading efforts to provide affordable housing solutions and foster community partnerships. With an extensive background in financial management, program development, and nonprofit leadership, Markus is passionate about building sustainable community initiatives and moving Prince William County to the forefront in economic growth, business sustainability, and business expansion. 


 Ayana B. Thurston
Town of Dumfries
Procurement Specialist/Grant Writer


        Ayana B. Thurston, VCA joined the Town of Dumfries in November 2024, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to public service. In her current role as Procurement Specialist and Grants Writer for the Town, she is responsible for managing the full scope of Town’s procurement processes under the direction and supervision of Tangela Innis, Town Manager. 

        This includes contract formulation, solicitation management, and vendor coordination while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. She also leads the Town’s grant initiatives, aligning them with strategic priorities and community needs by identifying funding opportunities, preparing proposals, and tracking the outcomes of awarded grants to support strategic objectives and improve community services

        Prior to joining the Town, Ayana worked in the Albemarle County’s Attorney’s Office for six years, where she served as a Paralegal and then later was prompted to Legal Services Coordinator. Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University with a certification in Global Education. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Virginia Tech, specializing in Local Government Management.
