Overview of Small Business & Supplier Diversity & basic steps to VA contracting               

        Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (VASBSD) provides education and assistance; economic opportunity; and access to capital to generate employment and economic growth for small businesses. They strive to accomplish this mission by offering businesses opportunities for certification, financing, and business development. 

        Ms. Ley has worked with small businesses since 2007 when she joined a small, women-owned marketing company, Asian Marketing Services, as their Director of Business Development. She started the “SWaM Mentoring Program” and the “Entrepreneur Roadmap Program” at Northern Virginia Community College. She was a marketing consultant at the Business Development Assistance Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping minority business owners.

Mission: Provide programs for contractors to exchange information on trends and regulations, fostering partnerships with government agencies. 

Vision: To be the premier resource for businesses navigating the government contracting landscape. 

This year's focus: Bringing together contractors and government representatives to discuss opportunities and compliance.
