Our Speakers for 2/18:
Building a stronger community by connecting volunteers with opportunities to serve.
Volunteer Prince William has created a space for 'people helping people' since 1981. VPW partners with community agencies to mobilize volunteers and resources to provide solutions for critical issues in our community. Their core volunteer programs are:

Prince William County Green Business Council is powered by Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB), a non-profit environmental organization that serves residents, schools, community partners, and businesses. Prince William County Green Business Council members engage in the work of environmental sustainability at the organizational and community levels and through locally informed action to reduce litter waste and increase business recycling in Prince William County.
We offer memberships for businesses of all sizes, providing the tools and support needed to implement sustainable practices. Today, companies in Prince William County are increasingly focused on improving the environmental impact of their operations, programs, and facilities. These efforts not only reduce costs but also create more efficient and responsible ways of doing business. Our members have access to expert insights from environmental professionals, local leadership, and peer organizations, empowering them to adopt actionable sustainability strategies. Additionally, members can strengthen community stewardship by engaging in volunteer opportunities that benefit both their business and the broader community.

The Greater Prince William Area Re-Entry Council consists of key correctional and non-correctional entities and partners who assist individuals returning to the community from incarceration. We work together to provide supportive services and resources that lead to a successful return home.
Our mission is to work together to provide support for everyone getting out of jail or prison and coming back to our community by addressing the deficits and absence of resources needed to help make reentry a positive and successful experience. As a Council we collaborate to address the challenges of this population and we connect with each other to coordinate appropriate referrals for needed supportive services.
