Join us to celebrate Anita Duecaster in dedicating 24 Years of Service to the Prince William Chamber!

After 24 years of service for the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, Anita Duecaster has announced her retirement, effective December 31, 2022. Anita has played an integral role in the organization for 24 years, beginning as the Operations Director from 1998-2011 and continuing as the Finance Director from 2011-2022.

In May 2010, Anita was a part of the merger of the Prince William County- Greater Manassas Chamber (established in 1935) and the Prince William Regional Chamber (established in 1955) would be dissolved in July 2010, and the new Prince William Chamber of Commerce was formed.

Anita graduated from Florida State University in 1986 with a degree in business and is a 2010 graduate of the U.S. Chamber Institute of Organization Management (IOM). She is an alumnus of the Leadership Prince William’s Signature Program, in the Class of 2014. From 2012-2015, Anita served on the Habitat for Humanity Family Selection Community. Anita served as a CASA CIS Board Member from 2019-2022, where she served as the Treasurer.

“As the steward of the Chamber’s finances, Anita has been instrumental in making sure that the Chamber is and continues to remain financially sound,” says Chairman V. Rick Nishanian, President, Vanderpool, Frostick & Nishanian, P.C. “Anita will be greatly missed by all, and she is leave behind very big shoes that will be hard to fill by her successor.”

“As a past Chair, Treasurer, Board member and long-time Finance committee member of the Chamber, I have worked closely with Anita for many years. She is and has always been extremely hardworking, enthusiastic, and dedicated to helping the Chamber exceed financially,” says Debbie Bennett, Shareholder, Bennett, Atkinson & Associates. “She has also taken on other duties within the Chamber and done an excellent job. It will be difficult to fill her role, but I know we will find the right person. I wish her all the best in her upcoming retirement.”

In retirement, Anita plans to travel, play golf, spend time quality time with her family, and finally finish checking off items on her to-do list. “I have learned so much from the community, both business and people,” says Anita. “The members are kind and generous and I will miss working with them.”
