Come join us for our next Senior Services Committee meeting. We aim to collaborate with businesses on the committee to create opportunities that will have a positive impact on our senior population through events and various initiatives.

Our current initiatives are:

*Students Serving Seniors:

          Update: Cassidy Mays and Andrea Gess will update the group on what’s been done and next steps. We will continue the discussion about ideas for activities

*Potomac Mills/Manassas Mall Morning Walker Outreach:

          Update:  We have the support of both Potomac Mills and Manassas Mall in connecting with the Mall walkers. We will continue to discuss ways to engage this group and implantation strategies

*Alzheimer's Walk:

          Update: Sonya has created a plan for the Senior Services Committee to register teams under The Chamber. Last year they had 700 walkers, our goal for this year is 1000 walkers. We will be set up for attendees to register. Sonya will have flyers at the meeting and will answer questions about sponsorships as well.
