Join us for an engaging conversation with Meg Carroll, Community Manager of Georgetown South, as she shares her inspiring journey in Second Careers: A Life of Service; From Police Lieutenant to Community Advocate.
Drawing on her experience in law enforcement and community leadership, Meg will discuss the transition from public service to community advocacy, the challenges and opportunities of building a second career, and the lasting impact of serving others.

About Meg:
Meg Carroll was born in raised outside of Philadelphia, PA. She experienced a life changing year in Pindamonhangaba, Brazil as a Rotary exchange student when she was 16. She attended Penn State University and graduated with a BA in Latin American Studies and a master's in public administration. She then worked for the Department of Justice for two years before beginning her police career with Arlington County in 1985. She joined the City of Manassas Police Department in 1990 and served until 2011, retiring as a lieutenant. Two days later, she joined the Georgetown South Community Council as community manager, and she has been there ever since. She formed the Georgetown South Community Council Foundation in 2015 as the non-profit arm of the Georgetown South HOA.Thank you to our annual sponsor, OmniRide!
