Marine Corps Heritage Center LLC is seeking professional, guest-service oriented associates to work in our Giant Screen Certified Medal of Honor Theater and Laser Simulated Rifle Range.
Responsibilities:
Assisting visitors by providing information about products, services, attractions and exhibits to enhance overall Museum visitor experience.
Operating theater and range equipment, promote interaction with the MOHT & RR, and process sales on a POS.
Working both independently and in group settings to support daily operations as well as special and private events.
Checking on presentation quality (picture and sound), locate available seating, monitor unruly behavior, safely direct Customers in time of panic, and identify debris. *Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
Engaging with Museum visitors to promote interaction with the MOHT & RR.
Sharing information about the Museum to enhance each visitor's overall experience.
Requirements:
1 to 2 years of retail sales or hospitality industry experience
Must be able to operate a computerized POS and/or ticketing system
Candidates must be comfortable handling modified firearms and promoting the sale of the Laser Rifle Range.
Ability to handle cash transactions
Excellent verbal communication skills
Must report to work at the scheduled time and adhere to leave policies
Must maintain a neat, clean and conservative appearance in accordance with the Dress Code Policy
Must be able to work a flexible schedule - including evening/weekend/holiday availability
Must possess excellent customer service skills
Must be at least 16 years of age
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, with little direct supervision
Candidates must be able to move or lift up to 25 pounds and to stand for long periods of time
Cleaning auditoriums between shows requires maneuvering between aisles of seats.
Physical Requirements:
The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to be in one position for long periods of screen use, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear both in person and over devices. The employee interacts in close spaces and frequently with other workers, vendors, and guests. May be in situations which require conflict resolution. The position works in a museum environment with artificial light and air.
